Apple is in a sad state at the moment when it comes to Macintosh hardware. I’ve been wanting to write about it for a while now and to really get my thoughts about Apple and how they’re destroying the Macintosh.
I’m not ready to publish anything yet, but I read this blog post written by Quentin Carnicelli from Rogue Amoeba regarding the sorry state of Macintosh hardware yesterday and thought I’d share it.
Rogue Amoeba is a software company that creates audio hardware. I own many of the applications they’ve created and long time ago wrote an article about how to use Audio Hijack Pro.
Please read their post, Sad State of Macintosh hardware, because it’s a reality we now face. Macintosh hardware is too old. Apple is full of talk about how much they care about the Macintosh but their actions do not reflect their words. I couldn’t agree more with the article, Apple should build computers that have been updated every 6-9 months with the latest hardware, forgo the “innovative design”, and just supply powerful working computers.
As of right now, I would not be able to recommend anyone to buy a Macintosh because they’ll be buying outdated and expensive hardware. For anyone who knows me, you’ll know I don’t say those words lightly.
I really do wish Apple will change and go back to their roots of building amazing computers and software.
